Haha. Somewhat of a joke, somwhat of a reference to the actual episode where Stewie and Brian go to several different universes. In one of them Meg is 'hot' and has long hair, and I couldn't help wishing she had maintained her signature bob-type hairstyle instead of having long, flowing, cliche locks.
